Surgery Closures

We are closed on the following dates, from 12:00 until 08:00 the following morning, for staff training:

  • 16th October 2024
  • 28th November 2024
  • 25th February 2025

The Surgery is closed and the door locked between 13:00 and 14:00. This is due to the fact that our staff do not have anywhere on the premises to take their lunch break, undisturbed, away from the reception desk. The door will be opened at 14:00 ready for afternoon clinic.

Extended Hours

The ColTe Partnership now offers an extended hours service. This service has appointments up to 8pm on weekdays and also weekend morning clinics, both Saturday and Sunday.

These clinics will be held at one of 3 local practices in the Colchester area. A range of clinics are available – from GP’s to physiotherapists. If you would like to book an extended hours appointment please call reception on 01206 382015.

Out of Hours Services

If you require urgent medical assistance, which cannot wait until the surgery reopens, please call 111. Calls to the NHS 111 service are free from both landlines and mobiles.

When We Are Closed

Please view our Bank Holiday Closures

When the surgery is closed, please telephone 111.

When you phone for medical help, be prepared to describe your problem. You may be asked to go to the Walk-in Centre (you will be given directions).

Dentist

Please note doctors are not trained in dental matters. All dentists are required to provide an emergency service and you should be able to get any advice from them. If you require emergency dental treatment you can also contact an emergency dentist on 111.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
